Ecuador, El Oro, Along road fron Loja to Santa Rosa, 20 Km past Piñas.
Clowd forest, on moist roadside cuts, in shade and dripping wet clay soil.
Leaves bluish green, in flower and fruit. Corolla white, with yellow center and yellow androecium. Rhizomes cream-white or pinkish.
